It’s such a pleasure and a wonderful aspect to share my adventure with you on how I travelled through Bwindi impenetrable national park, basically this time I will be concentrating on sharing the safari lodges mostly.
Ever since in the past few years I only had a chance to view these wonderful glamorous safari lodges below, and they are the only lodges that had served me like a King with the best accommodation facilities ever that I had experienced. Let’s begin with;
1. BWINDI LODGE; this lodge is allocated on a high ridge of Bwindi impenetrable national park with a nice view of the stunning beautiful tree canopies while standing on the balconies,
A grass fronted lounge that I enjoyed and chilled within the charming wooden chairs, it was so relaxable, a stone paved pathway I took while heading to the 9 banda Chalets.
When it approached night I had to lay my head down on a soft fluffy bed with in the Bwindi lodge suits equipped with mosquito nets from ceiling to bottom, when it was time to have a shower I had to take its beautiful bathrooms,
Facilitated with hair dryers for the ladies, ensuited with a shower area.
Early morning I had to be served with fresh local fruits in a local bowl well placed on a wooden table, on widening my window all what I had to view was the beautiful spot of monkeys swinging, and birds chirping. this experience was marvelous, and I spent only 2 nights in this lodge.
2. SANCTUARY GORILLA FOREST CAMP; what I remember this was the second lodge I had a glimpse on, it’s a luxury lodge camp situated on a high top ridge just within the boarder of Bwindi impenetrable national park,
composed of wooden infrastructure that I had to encounter, I suddenly viewed a dramatic mountain landscape that obviously forced me to take out my camera to start photographing the area.
I had to hit up the elegant dining area, all stuffed with many types and any kinds of drinks , soft drinks, spirits, cocktails, a Spa that facilitated me after a long tiresome gorilla trekking activity that provided me a great relaxation and a foot massage.
3. CLOUDS MOUNTAIN GORILLAH LODGE; This lodge is set on a forested ridge near the entrance to Bwindi impenetrable national park, I came to know about Clouds Lodge by the help of Kampala city Tours a local tour and travel agency in Uganda after viewing and reading their article via their
internet website showing illustrations of some beautiful lodges in Bwindi impenetrable national park if you had to carryout activities like gorilla trekking.
It was attractive, they helped me book I appeared on this lodge’s compounds by the help of our jeep at around dawn, I started looking around staring at the beauty. It was composed of over 8 cottages, built from volcano stones, I had to move along one of its descent balcony that could help me to view and observe the Virunga mountains of Rwanda.
I had to check out my room which was ensuited with a bathroom, a shower, with nice comfortable seats that helped me relax, an outdoor balcony that provided me a mesmerizing memorable experience while taking my pitch of juice, I encountered a blazing fireplace that created a cosy glow as dawn falls.
During my supper time I had to launch off In the lodge’s restaurant that had meals prepared from the freshest local spices and seasons that was served in front of me near a deem fire.
Early morning I had to take the a simple trail to begin my gorilla trekking that is situated in front of the lodge , after I was taken to the spa for a feet relaxation after my trekking expedition. I carried out many activities like browsing beautiful artworks it was amazing.
4.BUHOMA LODGE; Buhoma lodge is found at the edge of Bwindi impenetrable national park, I encountered its natural beauty which was truly fantastic, what I won’t forget and which seemed to be so memorable, it was the warm welcome and hospitality they showed by greeting us from our jeep with some delicious tomato juice.
Our suit cases were taken to our cottages or suits, I went on carrying out more surveys in this lodge I identified that it was eco-friendly, built with local materials that conserves the nature and this lodge used solar energy to run the electric appliances. I entered my cottage it had a private verandah with enormous windows which viewed me nice forest canopies.
With chirping sounds of birds, monkeys swinging over from one branch to the other and gorillas being spotted in greenly gardens showing a great perspective of nature,
After carrying out the main activity which is gorilla trekking I relaxed around an open free side while enjoying some soft drinks from the bar. I carried out more activities like community walks bird watching.
5. MAHOGANY SPRINGS LODGE; I won’t emphasis more about this lodge because I just spent only one night in this safari lodge, its located in the hillside of the buhoma region I experienced a panoramic view from a
spectacular private terrace while I was at the restaurant being served a variety of foods in their fullest bouque and drinks from the bar full stocked with soft drinks, beers, cock tails, wines.
I encountred this while seated on a private dining along a river side which is available in this safari lodge, after I had to take up the extra comfy sofas, awarded with a blossoming glass of wine, I had to receive a soft massages that helped me relax my aching muscles.
6.GORILLA SAFARI LODGE; in this awesome lodge I encountered multiple activities, accommodation facilities, and this lodge is regarded as the main safari lodge, I used 5 minutes walk from the briefing point to the cottages, it has lodge area houses or cottages, the dinning room and a quartz rock were the bar is suited.
So these cottages were named according to the gorilla families, I had to move in the one of Habiyanja II cottage which had a small seating area composed of comfortable chairs, and since I was tired i had to rest my body on one the comfortable beds which had mosquito nets from ceiling to bottom, bedside lamps,
Getting a shower wasn’t a problem because the cottage was equipped with a bathroom with both hot and cold water, after I had to take the wooden balcony with comfortable seats that allows you to take a glass of pitch juice in silence while enduring a view into the wilderness,
Taking amazing foods from the restaurant was so special because the menu was extravagant and so delicious made from fresh local spices, the strict rules provided limited smoking condition, where someone can feel more comfortable.
7. NKURINGO BWINDI GORILLA LODGE
Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge is located in southern section of Bwindi impenetrable national park in Uganda on a forested ridge, I encountered super accommodation facilities with coolest,
luxurious suites with green gardens that spiced up my sight and moods, this lodge offered me walking safari adventures around the rural landscape, whats more special about this lodge it is that its infrastructure was constructed out of local materials.
Local materials like papyrus for ceiling and wooden floor constructed from soft wood with a touch of volcanic rock, when it reached time for feeding I had to take on a restaurant where I was served local foods in a variety locally
Prepared while I was on my private dining, they have a rafiki lounge where visitors chill from while viewing the stunning appearance of the Virunga volcanoes,
The upper lounge is composed of a fire place where I sat in comfortable couches, early morning I had to carry out gorilla trekking within the morning hours but after I had to relax from the Mist spa for massaging my body and relaxing my feet, this really gave me an ever lasting visitors experience which was so memorable.
8.SILVER BACK LODGE; Silver back lodge provided me with a good welcoming, excellent services, with delicious food, the manager and the staff made sure that I receive the best experience, I had a pity on myself and regrets of staying in this lodge for a short period of time.
Because i encountered fantastic places like seating in comfy chairs while pearched on a high view having a glimpse on a beautiful landscape all around. At times I could use the private balcony of my cottage were I could experience the panoramic view and see the birds, primates from.
About the restaurant all foods were covered in their fullest amount, I experienced the “rolex” from this place which was so delicious and appetizing that forced me to continue trying out other dishes.
This lodge had cottages composed of comfy beds equipped with mosquito nets, bathrooms with both hot and cold water preferably I used hot water only. The most stunning thing although having a shower you could view the wilderness through a window offering you a panoramic view of the area.
9. CHAMELEON HILL FOREST LODGE; This lodge is covered by multiple attractive bright colours on its infrastructures, it offered me a special blend of comfort and relaxation of a perfect base to visit the mountain gorillas, together with the warm greetings and welcomings offered by the staff members,
I had to encounter my cottage were I was supposed to rest from, surprisingly, this room had a unique form of setting, a charming interior set of designing with attractive bright colours, the beauty didn’t stop there I had to move towards the windows, only to see, It was a beautiful panoramic view showing the proper appearance of a lake,
On moving to the bathrooms, indeed, this cottage was equipped with shower accessories bathtubs, both cold and hot water flowing through the water pipes. Forcing you to relax for morethan 30 minutes within the bathtub.
Early morning before carrying out my gorilla trekking or any other activity, a cup of coffee was served to me, hot and fancy as it was, I had to take it while seated on my spacious verandah while taking a close look at the paramount beautiful view.
10. VOLCANOES BWINDI LOGDE; this awesome lodge has very beautiful luxury cottages named after particular gorilla families well en-suited with with bedrooms with super-duper comfy beds, mosquito nets attached, a bathroom with bathtubs, shower area providing hot and cold water,
Built with stones and wood formed under different designs, a private verandah while viewing the beautiful nature.
An open fire place in the main lounge served with fantastic foods in the restaurant, the care and the hospitality in this place was too much.
